This will give us all the information we need to devise an accurate and periodised training programme, which will fit in with your schedule. Most importantly, it will ensure that you are working up to peak performance for your key season events, while also considering your on- and off-season plans.
A periodisation programme could be as simple as a 6-8 week plan to optimise muscle balance or it could cover a full year so that we can help you to peak strength and power gains, for example, at exactly the right moment for a key performance. It all depends on your particular requirements.
Devising and implementing such a complex programme can be a time consuming process and calls for a high degree of involvement from both you and your sports performance consultant. But that commitment is necessary for achieving higher levels of performance and success.
